Xiaomi has wasted no time in bringing its high-performance electric vehicle concept, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, to life. Following the impressive debut of the prototype last week, the company has confirmed a production version will be released in the first half of 2025.
Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Specs
Building on the success of the initial SU7 model, Xiaomi featured the SU7 Ultra prototype in a teaser image. The SU7 Ultra is expected to retain the core components as seen with the prototype, including the chassis structure, triple electric motor configuration, and CATL’s Qilin II battery. This combination translates to performance figures such as 1,548 horsepower from three in-house developed electric motors, the capability to go from 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in a blistering 1.97 seconds and a top speed exceeding 350 km/h (in concept configuration).
The car is rumoured to boast exceptional stopping power as well, thanks to a combination of re-calibrated regenerative braking and a high-performance mechanical braking system. While the exact price for the production SU7 Ultra remains undisclosed, Xiaomi assures it will be moderately higher than the existing SU7 models.
This positions the SU7 Ultra as a potential competitor to the Zeekr 001 FR, which offers a similar horsepower output but at a significantly higher price tag. The arrival of the SU7 Ultra in 2025 seems to have injected excitement into the electric vehicle market, offering drivers and racers a combination of performance with room for affordability.
