Elon Musk plans to allow only Twitter Blue subscribers to vote on policy-related polls

On Tuesday, just a day after Twitter CEO Elon Musk lost a Twitter poll where he asked if should step down as the company’s head, Musk suggested that moving forward, the micro-blogging platform will only Twitter Blue subscribers to vote on changes to the policy. The poll concluded Monday evening with over 57 per cent of people voting for Musk to step down from the CEO position.

Following the poll result, a user tweeted, “Blue subscribers should be the only ones that can vote in policy related polls. We actually have skin in the game.” In its response, Musk said, “Good point. Twitter will make that change.” He did not specify when the change would come into effect.

Earlier, Elon Musk pledged that he would abide by the results of his polls, however, if the policy change is implemented Musk could walk back his pledge. Elon He has yet not commented on the poll’s result or clarified whether he would step down from his CEO position or not.

On Sunday, a policy update caused backlash from a large number of Twitter users. The social media platform announced that it would no longer allow users to share links to other rival social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Mastodon, and Truth Social. However, just hours after the announcement the controversial policy vanished from Twitter’s policy page as well as from the Twitter Support account where it was announced in a series of tweets.
