Twitter Blue expands to six new countries

Twitter

Twitter Blue is now available in six more countries. Now, people in Saudi Arabia, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, and Spain can buy the subscription plan that gives users a blue verification check mark. With this, Twitter Blue is now available in 12 countries in total.

Not just this, but the micro-blogging platform has also introduced a new Spaces tab that features podcasts and curated stations for live and recorded spaces. Users without a Twitter Blue subscription already have a space page, which displays the live audio sessions.

Twitter is also planning to bring back themed stations that list Spaces station by topics. Reportedly, the company will have podcasts exclusive to Blue subscribers and “some people on Twitter for iOS and Twitter for Android apps”. Podcasts were also introduced on Twitter before Elon Musk took over the company.

After several delays, Twitter relaunched its Twitter Blue subscription at $8 per month if you subscribe on Android and $11 if you’re accessing the subscribe-only features on iOS. The subscribers get a blue verified checkmark next to their name, along with the ability to edit tweets, upload videos in 1080p, and a ‘reader mode’ option, that removes distractions from the screen for an easier read.
