Samsung Electronics has announced the rollout of Samsung Wallet in eight new countries including India. The digital service will be available from January end.

Apart from India, the online wallet will be available in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan. “Over the past several months, we’ve worked hard to rapidly expand the availability of Samsung Wallet, bringing the platform to more potential users. We look forward to sharing exciting new developments in the year ahead,” said Jeanie Han, EVP and Head of Digital Wallet Team at Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics.

Samsung Wallet, launched last year, is a platform that enables Galaxy users to organize digital keys, boarding passes, identification cards, etc. in one mobile application. It further helps users quickly monitor their digital asset portfolio and extend support for digital automobile keys on select BMW, Genesis, and Hyundai models.

It was initially launched in six countries including France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Later it was expanded to Bahrain, China, Denmark, Finland, Kazakhstan, Korea, Kuwait, Norway, Oman, Qatar, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Vietnam, and UAE.
