The leaked image suggests that Samsung is veering towards a stem-style design reminiscent of Apple’s AirPods lineup, particularly the AirPods Pro. This new design is rumored to offer several advantages. The microphone placement on the stem could significantly improve call quality, while the additional space within the stem might allow for larger batteries and more powerful audio components.
The leaked image aligns with previous reports suggesting the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro will be packed with AI features, potentially including real-time translation. Improved Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is also expected. While specific details remain under wraps, rumors suggest the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro will boast features like high-fidelity audio, dual speakers, and an IP57 water resistance rating.
The Pro variant won’t be alone. Reports suggest a standard Galaxy Buds 3 model will launch alongside it, possibly on July 10th. The standard Galaxy Buds 3 might lack some of the Pro’s bells and whistles, but should still offer features like ANC and a comfortable, secure fit.
The launch is expected to coincide with the unveiling of the next-generation Galaxy Fold and Flip phones, new Wear OS-powered Galaxy Watch 7 smartwatches, and potentially a new Snapdragon-powered laptop from Samsung at its next major hardware unveiling event Galaxy Unpacked. This year, the event is expected to take place in Paris, France, coinciding with the 2024 Olympics where Samsung holds a major sponsorship. Samsung hosted the first Unpacked event of 2024 in January in San Jose where it unveiled the much-anticipated Galaxy S24 series claimed to be an “open gateway for secure and meaningful AI experiences.”
