Leaks suggest that Google Pixel 7a could be backed by a 4,410mAh battery, with 20W wired charging support.
American tech giant Google will launch the Pixel 7a smartphone in India on May 11 on e-commerce platform Flipkart. The tech major is tipped to unveil its latest mid-range smartphone at the upcoming Google I/O event on May 10 and the following day in the country.
The company has not explicitly mentioned the name of the phone in its Twitter announcement, but the image strongly hints the Pixel 7a is coming to the country as early as next week. One of the color options of the successor of Google Pixel 6a is expected to be light blue, while the design in the teaser image resembles that of flagship Pixel phones with a dual camera setup at the back.
Expected specifications of Google Pixel 7a
The latest Google Pixel 7a is expected to be powered by its home-brewed Tensor G2 SoC chipset, paired with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. The device will likely feature a 6.1-inch full-HD+ OLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz, a slight upgrade from Pixel 6a’s 60Hz refresh rate, according to a report by Gadgets 360. The device could also come in Charcoal Black and coral orange shades.
In terms of camera, Pixel 7a is tipped to come with a dual rear camera unit. One would be a 64-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization support, an upgrade over the 12.2-megapixel primary sensor seen on the Pixel 6a. The other camera would be a 12-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide lens. For selfies and video calls, a 10.8-megapixel front camera sensor is said to feature in Pixel 7a, an upgrade from an 8-megapixel front camera in Pixel 6a.
