While specific details about the lineup remain under wraps, the gaming community is buzzing with speculation, especially following Microsoft’s announcement that four Xbox-exclusive titles are making their way to the Switch and PS5. This partnership hints at the potential for some major announcements during the showcase.
Meanwhile, the news comes amidst reports of a delay in the launch of the Switch’s successor, now anticipated in early 2025. Following the console’s postponed release, Nintendo’s stock fell nearly 5% on Tuesday but still trading at levels not seen since late 2020, according to a report by Business Insider.
Though the Switch successor (Switch 2) is delayed to next year, this Direct showcase is expected to ensure that current Switch owners are not left wanting. Speculation swirls of the potential appearance of games such as Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, Sea of Thieves, and Grounded on the Switch, according to a report by Gadgets 360. PlayStation and Xbox have already unveiled their games for the year, placing Nintendo in an ideal spot to draw in gamers with its newest releases.
A highly acclaimed gaming console Nintendo Switch has achieved significant success since its release, rivalling and even surpassing the sales of industry giants like Sony PlayStation and Microsoft Xbox. Despite being on the market for seven years, Switch continues to receive strong support from developers who are actively releasing new titles. The gaming device offers a unique gaming experience, allowing players to use it both as a handheld device and a home console when docked, contributing to its widespread popularity among gamers of all ages.
