Amazfit is gearing up to introduce its latest offering – the Amazfit Bip 5 smartwatch – in India. This addition to the Bip series, known for its affordability and essential features, is expected to mirror the recently launched global variant, Amazfit Bip 5.
Although the exact launch date is yet to be confirmed, Amazfit has officially announced that the Bip 5 will be hitting the Indian market soon. The company is known for its presence on major e-commerce platforms, and it’s anticipated that the Bip 5 will follow suit, with Amazon likely to be the platform of choice for its availability.
Amazfit Bip 5 specifications
The global Amazfit Bip 5 comes equipped with a generous 1.91-inch display adorned with 2.5D tempered glass and an HD resolution. The square dial, featuring a slight curvature, includes a physical button on its right side. The Bip 5 boasts a comprehensive suite of features, including a 24-hour heart rate monitor, SpO2 sensor, stress tracker, and sedentary reminder – a prompt for users to stay active after extended periods of inactivity.
Fitness enthusiasts are in for a treat, as the Bip 5 supports over 120 sports modes, making it suitable for a diverse range of activities such as cycling, running, walking, and swimming. With built-in GPS functionality, outdoor activities can be meticulously tracked.
A notable highlight of the Amazfit Bip 5 is its 300mAh battery cell, which Amazfit claims can deliver up to an impressive 10 days of usage on a single charge. The device operates on Zepp OS 2, boasting a wide range of downloadable games and apps, creating an enriched app ecosystem. This smartwatch also takes connectivity a step further, offering Bluetooth calling capabilities via its built-in microphone and speaker.
The upcoming Bip 5’s specifications closely align with the global version, featuring a high-definition LCD screen complemented by over 70 vibrant watch faces. It supports real-time GPS tracking through Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity and hosts an array of health monitoring tools, including heart rate tracking, blood oxygen saturation measurement, and stress level monitoring.
The Amazfit Bip 5’s anticipated price in India is expected to be under Rs 5000, aligning with Amazfit’s reputation for delivering feature-packed devices at affordable price points. This pricing strategy has been previously observed with the successful launches of the Amazfit Pop 3s and Pop 3R, both priced at Rs 3499.
