There’s a fresh buzz in the Indian smartphone market, and it’s all about the grand return of Honor, the prominent Chinese smartphone brand. Honor is all set to shake things up with its impending reentry and the launch of the Honor 90 – a smartphone that boasts an impressive 200-megapixel camera. Rumors are floating around that the phone’s launch is slated for September, and it’s sure to come in a lively palette of colors akin to its global variants.

This isn’t just another smartphone launch though, it’s the heralding of Honor’s reemergence in the Indian smartphone arena. The company had been on a brief hiatus, but is gearing up to take the market by storm with its brand new offering, the Honor 90. This news has been fuelled by a reputed YouTube personality who hinted at the phone’s Indian debut in the forthcoming months. The Honor 90 has already seen successful launches in various other countries, hinting at what Indian consumers might expect.

Moreover, a significant shakeup in the top brass is in the offing. Speculations are rife that Madhav Sheth, the former CEO of Realme, is readying himself to lead Honor’s operations in India. An IANS report even suggested a major staffing shift, with 15 employees, including some senior executives, having already jumped ship from Realme to HonorTech.

As of now, there’s no concrete date set for the grand reveal. However, tech guru Gaurav Chaudhary, also known as Technical Guruji, has hinted at a September launch for the Honor 90 in India. Yet, the mystery surrounding the Indian pricing of the smartphone remains unsolved.

Diving into the specifics, the Honor 90, already available in select global markets, is likely to retain similar features in its Indian variant. Globally, it comes in four exciting shades: Peacock Blue, Diamond Silver, Midnight Black, and Emerald Green. Fans speculate that the Emerald Green variant will also grace the Indian market.

Hints of Honor’s Indian comeback with Madhav Sheth at the helm have been circulating for some time now. While Sheth has not yet made any official statement, a recent trademark discovery called “Honor for Knights,” with Sheth’s name linked to it, has stirred up the tech community. The product description attached to the trademark includes mobile phones and accessories, adding fuel to the rumors of Honor’s resurgence in India.

While Honor, previously a Huawei sub-brand, faced a few roadblocks due to the US government’s restrictions on Huawei’s use of Google services, it still managed to weather the storm. There were times when reports suggested Honor’s exit from the Indian market. However, the brand persevered and continued to innovate and offer products to Indian consumers, primarily focusing on devices like the Honor Watch ES and Honor Pad 5. Their last smartphone offering in India was the budget-friendly Honor 9A, priced under Rs 10,000.

As Honor gears up to make its much-anticipated comeback, Indian fans eagerly await the arrival of the Honor 90. With the launch date closing in, there’s much to look forward to regarding the phone’s unique features and price tag. So, hold your breath and stay tuned for more updates on this much-anticipated gadget!
