POCO’s X6 and X6 Pro: Mid-range powerhouses?

Both POCO X6 Pro and POCO X6 feature a triple camera setup.


From the makers of the revolutionary POCO F1, comes yet another powerhouse – The POCO X6 and X6 pro. With cutting-edge features and impressive specifications, these devices promise to deliver an unparalleled user experience, thanks to the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra chip, and the new Android 14 software powered by the fresh and smooth HyperOS user interface. 


The X6 Pro features a triple camera setup consisting of a 64MP main camera, followed by an 8MP Ultra-Wide camera and a 2MP Macro camera. Furthermore, the device features OIS & EIS dual stabilization that should allow it to take clear and steady images and videos even when shooting in 4K. The X6 pro also features POCO’s new Imaging Engine that optimizes images under different situations powered by AI. It also comprises a new Motion-tracking focus that uses Smart AI algorithms to identify people and pets and help to keep the subject in focus to capture automatically as they move. The cameras of the X6 pro boasts of the Ultra-fast shutter speed that makes use of the Burst shot mode and captures 50 photos in a rapid succession that freezes the action and makes the image more dynamic.

Adding on to this, the X6 pro’s minimalistic design and vibrant display are equally impressive. The device is available in three colors and features a Vegan leather finish on the POCO Yellow variant while the Racing Gray and Spectre Black variants have a glossy finish. The phone exhibits a 6.67-inch Screen with POCO’S latest flagship-level Flow AMOLED display, at a 120Hz refresh rate. making it the most budget-friendly midranger in the country.

Looking at its performance, the X6 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra SoC chip and it comprises a 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and a 512GB UFS 4.0 storage that paves way for seamless performance in gaming and 4K video recording. The device features a massive 5000mAh battery, that is coupled with 67W turbo charging, that ensures a longer battery life for an entire day. Additionally, the Smart Turbo charging feature can fully charge the phone in just about 45 minutes.

The base variant of the X6 pro that features 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at Rs. 24,999 whereas the high-end variant of  12GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage is priced at Rs. 26,999 respectively. 


POCO also released a plain vanilla X6 alongside the Pro model. The X6 features a 6.67-inch 1.5K CrystalRes AMOLED display with a powerful refresh rate of 120Hz. The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip along with up to 12GB RAM. The X6 boasts of an ultra-fast read/write speed that is complemented by the latest Dynamic RAM Expansion 3.0, which can be expanded to 12GB of virtual RAM for a total of 24GB of RAM during use, for an even smoother experience. The device also features a triple rear camera setup comprising a 64MP Main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, along with a 2-megapixel macro camera.

The Poco X6 offers three storage options. The base 8GB+256GB variant which is priced at Rs 19,999, The 12GB+256GB variant that is priced at Rs 21,999, and finally the 12GB+512GB variant that is priced at Rs 22,999 respectively.
