Realme is gearing up for the unveiling of its latest smartphone, the Realme 12+ 5G, in India on March 6. This launch follows Realme’s recent launch of the Realme 12 series, comprising of Realme 12 Pro 5G and Realme 12 Pro Plus 5G, in the country last month.

The company’s event announcement page displays an interesting hyperlink that reads “realme-one-more-plus” and further reveals that the 12+ device will be launched on March 6 at 12 p.m. According to a report, the smartphone will be launched in Malaysia on February 29 alongside the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G.

In terms of specs of Realme 12+ 5G, the report suggest it will sport a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), housed within a stylish circular triple-camera module, consistent with the aesthetic of the Realme 12 series. The device will likely further feature an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. For selfies and video calls, the 12+ could get a 16-megapixel front camera.

Sporting beige and green color options, the Realme 12+ 5G is rumoured to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset, complemented by 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Its much-anticipated 6.67-inch AMOLED display will boast a 120Hz refresh rate.

The device will likely run on the Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0. Additionally, a robust 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging capability is expected to ensure that the phone keeps up with the demands of modern users.

Meanwhile, the Chinese multinational consumer tech major launched the Realme 12 Pro Plus 5G and Realme 12 Pro 5G in India on January 29, setting a benchmark for the upcoming phones by the company. The Realme 12+ 5G is expected to follow in their footsteps, offering a blend of high-end specifications and affordability. As the launch date approaches, tech enthusiasts and potential buyers are eagerly waiting for more details, especially regarding the pricing and availability of different storage models.
