PiP mode on Twitter will change the way users interact with video content as it will enable individuals to continue scrolling through their timelines. In contrast, videos play in a small window overlayed on the screen. Musk tweeted, “Coming next week, along with pic in pic, so you can watch while scrolling.”
However, it is uncertain if the upcoming PiP mode and video controls will be available to all users or exclusively for Twitter Blue subscribers.
Musk’s pro-crypto stance continues to influence Twitter’s strategic direction. Twitter recently announced a partnership with eToro, a leading cryptocurrency trading platform.
Looking ahead, Twitter may also explore the addition of voice and video chat capabilities. While no specific details have been provided, Musk’s inclination towards incorporating richer multimedia experiences within the platform suggests that voice and video chat functionalities could enhance user engagement and interaction.
Following Musk’s decision to step down as CEO of Twitter, he appointed Linda Yaccarino as his successor. Yaccarino, previously the advertising chief for Comcast Corp’s NBCUniversal, brings a wealth of experience in modernizing ad business strategies.
