Chinese consumer tech giant Xiaomi is speculated to launch the Xiaomi 14 series in India after the company teased its partnership with Leica, a German company well-known for its camera technology. The news follows the successful launch of Xiaomi 14 series in China last year.

While Xiaomi has not explicitly confirmed the India launch, their recent social media post featuring the tagline “#XiaomixLeica magic is only getting started!” alongside captivating camera visuals hints at a strong possibility. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra, rumored to be showcased at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) starting February 26, is expected to feature cutting-edge technology, including a Leica-branded camera system.

Talking about specs, the Xiaomi 14 model has a 6.3-inch LTPO display with a flat screen and narrow bezels, with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits and adaptive refresh rates between 1-120Hz. Conversely, the 14 Pro model, with its 6.7-inch display, maintains a flat screen but incorporates a design where bezels curve around the edges and corners. Both models utilize the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The handsets feature Leica-tuned triple rear camera setup, with a 50MP main camera alongside a 50MP ultra-wide and a 50MP telephoto lens. In terms of battery, the Xiaomi 14 has a 4,610mAh battery. It supports a 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The 14 Pro model comes with a 4880mAh battery supporting 120W wired fast charging, as well as 50W wireless charging. The devices was launched at a debut price of CNY 3,999 (roughly around Rs 50,000) for Xiaomi 14 and CNY 4,999 (roughly around Rs 56,000)  for the 14 Pro.

The Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro, launched in China last October, are also expected to join the Ultra model in the Indian market. The Ultra models could feature a quad-camera setup featuring a 50MP Sony LYT-900 sensor, complemented by a trio of 50MP lenses. The Ultra variant, on the other hand, could be packed with a 5,180mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging support. This high-end smartphone is also speculated to get 50W wireless charging.
