Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Leak

January was a month of several new launches of interesting innovations that marked the continuous growth and development of technology. In January of 2024 there were several new phones from brands like OnePlus, Samsung, Vivo and others. Although these were majorly flagship released, there were also midbudget released by brands like Redmi, POCO and Motorola. This article provides an overview of the notable phones launched in January 2024.

Redmi Note 13 Series

Starting off with Redmi we saw the release of Redmi Note 13, Note 13 Pro and Note 13 Pro +. In terms of display Redmi Note 13 features a 6.67-inch FHD+pOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Note 13 Pro and Note 13 Pro+ have a 6.67-inch 1.5k AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The chipset Redmi Note 13 uses is a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC, Note 13 Pro has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC and Note 13 Pro+ has a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra. The storage has configurations of 8GB RAM+ 256GB storage, 13 pro has a 12GB RAM+256GB storage and Pro+ has a 12GBRAM+256GB storage. All models run on an Android 13-based MIUI 14. The launch of this series was in January 4th. It starts at 18.999 rupees in India.

POCO X6 Pro

We also had the release of POCO X6 Pro on January 11th. The new device sports a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1800 nits peak brightness. It is equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra Soc. The storage has a configuration of 8GB RAM+256GB storage and 12GB RAM+ 512GB storage. The camera has a triple camera system on the back consisting of a 64MP primary camera with OIS, an 8PM ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro sensor. Further. There is a 16MP front-facing camera too. It runs on HyperOS based on Android 14. It starts at 26.999 rupees in India.

Vivo X100 Series

The Vivo X100 and X100 Pro are premium smartphones launched on January 4th. They both boast a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz variable refresh rate and up to 3000 nits peak brightness. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 4nm SoC and Immortalis-G720 GPU, they offer high performance.

In terms of storage, the X100 comes in two variants: 12GB RAM + 256GB storage and 16GB RAM + 512GB storage, while the X100 Pro offers 16GB RAM + 512GB storage.

The camera setups differ slightly: the X100 features a 50MP Sony IMX920 VCS bionic primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 64MP telephoto camera with up to 100x digital zoom, whereas the X100 Pro boasts a 50MP 1-inch Sony IMX989 VCS bionic sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 50MP 1/2-inch APO telephoto camera with up to 100x digital zoom. Both phones sport a 32MP front camera for selfies.

Running on Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14, they offer a smooth software experience. The X100 packs a 5,000mAh battery with 120W ultra-fast flash charging, while the Pro version features a 5,400mAh battery with 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging support.

In India, the Vivo X100 series starts at Rs 63,999, targeting photography enthusiasts with its advanced camera capabilities.

OnePlus 12 and 12R

Then we had the OnePlus 12 reaching a new depth of technological development. The OnePlus 12, launched on January 23rd, boasts a 6.82-inch QHD+ 2K OLED LTPO ProXDR display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of 4,500 nits. It runs on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with an Adreno GPU for enhanced graphics performance.

In terms of storage, the OnePlus 12 offers a single configuration with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The camera setup includes a 50MP Sony LYT-808 OIS primary camera, a 48MP Sony IMX581 ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64MP OV64B periscope lens with 3x telephoto zoom. OnePlus also had the release of OnePLus 12R. The OnePlus 12R, launched on January 23rd, features a 6.78-inch LTPO 4.0 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR 10+, and an impressive peak brightness of 4500 nits. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.

In terms of storage, the OnePlus 12R offers configurations of up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The camera setup includes a 50MP primary Sony IMX890 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera, along with a 16MP front camera for selfies.

Running on Android 14-based ColorOS 14.0 out-of-the-box, the OnePlus 12R provides users with a feature-rich and customizable software experience. It is equipped with a 5,500mAh battery that supports 100W SUPERVOOC charging.

In the Indian market, the OnePlus 12R starts at Rs 64,999, offering consumers a compelling option in the premium smartphone segment.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Series

The Samsung Galaxy S24 series, released on January 17th, presents a diverse lineup catering to various user preferences. The Galaxy S24 boasts a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the S24+ offers a slightly smaller 6.7-inch screen with identical display specifications. Meanwhile, the Ultra model stands out with its larger 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display. Under the hood, the S24 and S24+ are powered by the Exynos 2400 chipset for the Indian market, while the S24 Ultra opts for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Storage options range from 8GB RAM + 512GB storage for the S24 to 12GB RAM + 1TB storage for the Ultra variant. Camera setups vary as well, with the S24 and S24+ featuring a triple camera system and the Ultra model boasting a quad-camera array. All phones run on Android 14-based One UI 6.1. Battery capacities range from 4,000mAh to 5,000mAh, with support for wired and wireless charging across the lineup. The Samsung Galaxy S24 series starts at Rs 79,999 in India, offering consumers a range of premium smartphone options to choose from.

Moto G34 5G

The all-new Moto G34 5G, launched on January 9th, features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 500 nits peak brightness. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC and Adreno GPU for graphics, it offers smooth performance.

In terms of storage, the Moto G34 5G offers configurations of up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The camera setup includes a 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture and PDAF, along with a 2MP macro lens on the rear. For selfies and video chats, there’s a 16MP shooter on the front.

Oppo Reno 11 Series

And finally, The OPPO Reno 11 Pro, introduced on January 12th, features a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Delivering exceptional brightness of up to 1600nits and supporting HDR10+, it ensures a vivid and immersive viewing experience.
