The upcoming lineup is expected to include three models – Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Samsung has announced the date of Galaxy Unpacked 2023 and the event is scheduled on February 1 in San Francisco at 10 a.m. PST (or 11:30 p.m. IST). The South Korean tech giant is expected to unveil the much-awaited Samsung Galaxy S23 lineup along with a Galaxy dedicated chip at the event.
This year, Samsung Electronics is holding the Unpacked event in person for the first time in three years. The event will also be live-streamed on Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom, and Samsung’s YouTube channel.
“The new Galaxy S series will be the epitome of how we define the ultimate premium experience. We’re raising the bar and setting new standards for what’s epic,” Samsung wrote in its event invitation, indicating the announcement of its flagship S23 smartphone series. The upcoming lineup is expected to include three models – Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Rumors suggest that the latest series will feature the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, while its CPU’s prime core will have a frequency of 3.36GHz and the Adreno GPU will have a frequency of 719MHz, both improved from its predecessor. The plain vanilla and Plus models could further feature a triple camera setup at the rear, while the high-end Ultra model is expected to feature a quad rear camera setup led by a 200-megapixel camera.
The Galaxy S23 and the S23 Plus models are expected to come with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage variants. Samsung’s S23 Ultra, on the other hand, is tipped to come in 12GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options.
Other features of the lineup will include Wi-Fi 7 and a new 5G modem. The S23 series is expected to be priced above the launch price of its predecessor Galaxy S22 at Rs 72,99 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB variant.
