Codenamed as ‘Balance’, the mouse will stop working after scheduled office hours.
Samsung, a South Korean multinational tech giant, is designing and trying a new computer mouse that will take care of the users’ work-life balance and will not let them work after office hours.
Codenamed as ‘Balance’, the product will stop working after scheduled office hours and prevent overworking. Samsung presented this radical innovation on its official Korean YouTube channel.
It can be seen in video that a man is working post his scheduled work hours and Balance mouse does not appreciate it and literally runs away. The man tries to catch it but Balance, which has interesting and unique mouse-like ears, two eyes and little tail and comes in dual-tone finish, gets away.
The concept is currently made focusing on the Korean market where people tend to work for long hours. Balance mouse ensures that people do not miss out on after-office-life as well and the company claims to fix the issue of overworking.
Samsung has not shared any details of the product or even when and where all it will be launched and at what price. But it is intriguing to see a tech company moving in a direction to discourage the overworking culture, especially at a time when work-life balance is a hot and much debated topic across the corporate circles.
