London-based consumer electronics maker Nothing has confirmed the launch of its second-generation smartphone. The company announced on Twitter that Nothing Phone (2) is coming this summer of 2023.

Nothing Phone (2) will be unveiled during the UK summer, the company said in response to a Tweet. Based on this, it is speculated that the smartphone could be launched between June and September. Previously the company confirmed that Nothing Phone (2) will also make its way to the United States.

Meanwhile, the startup headed by former OnePlus Co-Founder Carl Pei has remained tight-lipped about the handset’s specifications. However, in January, Pie promised to offer a more premium experience with Nothing Phone (2), with software being a significant focus area for the company. The company’s website underscores that the phone could come in a white color variant, while the Tweet by the company shows a flashing red LED light at the back.

Furthermore, in March, a Qualcomm executive accidentally revealed that the handset will be equipped with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Other details of Nothing Phone (2), the successor to the Nothing Phone 1 that was launched last year, are still under wraps. However, leaks suggest that the device could feature an AMOLED panel with a 120Hz maximum refresh rate. Nothing Phone (2) is also expected to come in a 12GB RAM variant with 256GB of internal storage and be backed by a 5,000mAh battery.

The latest smartphone by Nothing is also expected to make its debut in the Indian market. Last month, tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore tweeted that “Nothing Phone (2) with model number “AIN065” has cleared India’s BIS certification. Expect it to launch soon in India”

Meanwhile, Nothing launched its first-ever smartphone Phone (1) in July last year. The 6.55-inch handset has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset, a full HD+ display, and is backed by a 4,500mAh battery. The device supports 33W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging support. It comes in two color variants: black and white. The 8 GB RAM with 128 GB storage is priced at Rs 28,999 on Flipkart.
