Huawei Pura 70 Ultra

Huawei launched the Pura 70 series in China on Thursday. The lineup consists of the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra, Pura 70 Pro+, Pura 70 Pro and the base Pura 70. The Standard and Pro+ models however, will be available only from April 22nd in the Chinese market. Huawei’s flagship lineup is currently features the Mate and Pura series.

The top-tier variant in the Pura 70 series is the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra that features a large, 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and boasts a peak brightness of 2500 nits, ensuring excellent visibility even in bright sunlight. Additionally, Huawei’s Kunlun Glass (Xuanwu tempered) provides enhanced scratch and shatter resistance.

Powering this flagship is Huawei’s octa-core Kirin 9010 chipset built on a 7nm process coupled with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Notably, the Pura 70 Ultra comes equipped with a 5200mAh battery that can easily power through a full day of use. The phone supports a staggering 100W wired fast charging, also supports 80W wireless charging and even offers 20W reverse wireless charging and 18W reverse wired charging for powering other devices.

The highlight of the Pura 70 Ultra lies in is its triple-camera system. The main star is a 50 MP sensor with a f/1.6-4.0 variable aperture and a 1-inch type size. The sensor even features a retractable lens with sensor-shift OIS for unmatched stabilization. Alongside the main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens offers 3.5x optical zoom, and a 40MP ultra-wide lens captures expansive scenes with stunning detail.

The handset features the HarmonyOS 4.3 skin based on the latest Android 14 OS. The phone is IP68 dust/water resistant and features an under-display fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking. It also offers stereo speakers with support for HDR sound, NFC for contactless payments, and a full suite of connectivity options.

While details regarding an Indian launch remains unknown, the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra is priced at CNY 9,999, which is roughly about Rs. 1,15,000 for the 16GB + 512GB storage variant while the 16GB + 1TB storage variant is priced at CNY 10,999, which is approximately Rs. 1,26,800. The device is available in four colors: Black, White, Brown, and Green.
