TikTok has announced the launch of its TikTok Music subscription service in Australia, Mexico, and Singapore, following its recent debut in Brazil and Indonesia. The streaming service aims to provide users with an immersive music experience by allowing them to sync their existing TikTok accounts, listen to, download, and share songs. TikTok Music features an extensive catalog, including tracks from major record labels such as Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, and Sony Music.

Interested users can join by downloading the TikTok Music app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or by visiting music.tiktok.com. As a part of the closed beta, participants will receive a three-month free trial of the service.

TikTok has revealed the pricing details for the TikTok Music subscription in the three launch countries. The service will cost AUD 11.99 ($8.16 USD) per month in Australia, Mex$115 ($6.86 USD) in Mexico, and S$9.90 ($7.48 USD) in Singapore.

While TikTok has not provided specific details about the launch in the United States, the company has stated that more information about the U.S. rollout will be shared soon. ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, filed a trademark application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for “TikTok Music” over a year ago.

“TikTok Music is a new kind of music service that combines the power of music discovery on TikTok with a music streaming service offering millions of tracks from thousands of artists,” the company said as per reports.

TikTok has already established itself as a popular platform for music discovery, often driving songs to become viral and rise in popularity. By introducing a dedicated music streaming service, TikTok directly competes with established players such as Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon.

The TikTok Music streaming service offers users various features, including full versions of viral TikTok songs, personalized music recommendations, real-time lyrics, collaborative playlists, and the ability to import their music library. Additionally, TikTok Music includes a Shazam-like functionality, allowing users to identify songs, and providing the option to download tracks for offline listening. Social features are also integrated, enabling users to engage through comments and connect with fellow music lovers.
