Xiaomi today launched the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Cleaner S10, a new entrant in the company’s robot vacuum cleaner series that offers a range of smart cleaning features at an attractive price point. Launched during Xiaomi’s Smarter Living Event 2024, the Robot Vacuum Cleaner S10 offers features including a powerful 4000Pa suction blower, multiple sensors, smart water tank that protects the floors from water damage, and LDS laser navigation, among others. Xiaomi says the latest device caters to users who are looking for a compact cleaning device for homes or offices that makes everyday cleaning tasks hassle-free. Along with the cleaner, Xiaomi also introduced the compact Xiaomi Handheld Garment steamer for the first time in India, along with the Redmi Buds 5A, and the Redmi Pad SE.
Robot Vacuum Cleaner S10 specifications
The circular-shaped Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Cleaner S10 has a height of 94.5mm coupled with a diameter of 350mm. With a battery capacity of 3200mAh, the Robot Vacuum can run for up to 130 minutes of cleaning in Standard mode. It weighs approximately around 4.8 kilograms and has a power capacity and power of 45w. The cleaner features the Smart corner coverage feature that allows the robot cleaner to follow walls in order to ensure that no corner is missed.
When it comes to obstacle detection and navigation, the S10 is equipped with various sensors. One such feature is the “cliff sensor” that helps prevent the vacuum from falling by measuring the height of drops within an effective range of 1-10 cm. Its Speed sensors measure the wheel speed for precise movement and the collision sensors detect when the infrared signal is blocked to determine the presence of obstacles.
The induction sensor detects the presence of functional components such as the water tank, while the gyroscope (IMU) ensures precise navigation through a 3-axis gyro sensor. The radar sensor helps the robot measure distances to obstacles within a specified range of approximately 0.16m-8m, aiding in path planning. Additionally, the robot vacuum supports OTA updates to get all the latest functions and performance improvement tweaks from time to time.
The S10 also features a recharge sensor that sends and receives infrared signals to guide the vacuum back to its charging dock within an effective range of approximately 4m. Overall, the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Cleaner S10 offers an efficient and intelligent cleaning experience with advanced navigation and versatile cleaning modes as it uses the Zigzag and Y-shape routes to clean thoroughly.
Along with the S10, the box of contents also includes a main unit with a pre-installed main brush and brush cover, a 2-in-1 water tank and dust container that allows the vacuum to operate in either vacuum or mop mode, and a side brush. Additional components include a mop frame, power adapter, charging dock, cleaning brush, and user manual for easy setup and use.
