Streaming platform Netflix has announced a global roll of its ‘Kids Mystery Box’ feature to Android devices. Netflix rolled out the feature in May last year and it let users discover new content by clicking the “Mystery Box” feature on the home screen.
The company updated the previous blog post and said on Monday that the Mystery Box “feature is now available on Android devices for all global members.” Similar to Netflix’s shuffle button, the Kids Mystery Box feature is said to be a fun and safe space for kids to discover their next favorite series and films.
To enjoy the feature, kids, parents, and caregivers need to follow the following steps:
-Login to a kid’s profile.
-Find the kids ‘Favorites Row’ at the top of the homepage.
-Hover over the sparkly ‘mystery box’ to discover a title that is ‘new for you’.
Elsewhere, Netflix founder and co-chief executive officer Reed Hastings announced to step down from the post last week. The streaming platform’s Chief Operating Officer Greg Peters will step up as co-CEO.
