Energizer announces 28,000mAh phone at MWC 2024: Specs and more

The excitement at the Mobile World Congress 2024 happening at Barcelona is adrenaline-filled, much like the new groundbreaking technologies showcased by companies around the globe. From Xiaomi’s electric car to Moto and Samsung’s futuristic wristphones, and even Lenovo’s intriguing Transparent Thinkbook, this year’s conference is brimming with captivating gadgets and visionary concepts.

Amidst this whirlwind of innovations stood Paris-based Avenir Telecom, the custodian of the Energizer brand, unveiling the rugged “Hard Case P28K” smartphone that the company claims that the device delivers an entire week of uninterrupted usage on just one single charge.

This Hard Case P28K features a massive battery. And no we aren’t talking about a mere 6,000mAh or a 10,000 mAh battery, but an unthinkable 28,000mAh battery. Not only does the phone boast of the biggest battery (overtaking Doogee’s V Max that stood at 22,000mAh), it also provides 122 hours of talk time, equivalent to over five days, and a standby time of 2,252 hours, translating to nearly 94 days or more than three months of uninterrupted usage. With an IP69 certification, the phone is dust and water but can also withstand extreme temperatures according to Energizer.

Apart from the huge battery, the Energizer Hard Case P28K comes with a triple camera setup that boasts of a 60 megapixel primary sensor coupled with a 20 megapixel secondary sensor, and lastly 2 megapixel macro sensor. On the front, it features a 16 megapixel front camera. Additionally, the device also supports 4K video recording, 4G LTE connectivity, and a generous three-year warranty, cementing its status as a true game-changer in the today’s mobile industry.

Not a first from Energizer

The last time that Avenir Telecom was in the news was during 2019’s MWC, as the company announced the Energizer P18K Pop, the bulky smartphone that packed an 18,000 mAh battery. The phone could last for a week and was capable of delivering 2 full days of non-stop video playback. Fast forward four years, Avenir Telecom has visibly pushed the boundaries yet again, elevating battery capacity to unprecedented heights with their latest innovation, the Hard Case P28K.
