Chinese consumer electronics major OPPO on Monday launched the Find X7 Ultra in China’s Shenzhen. The latest smartphone, being touted as the ultimate camera phone, integrates improved camera technology with OPPO’s HyperTone Camera System, advanced computational photography, and professional-grade Hasselblad tuning.

Oppo Find X7 Ultra

The Find X7 Ultra features quad main camera system, comprising four 50MP cameras, including two periscope zoom cameras. Furthermore, the device features Sony LYT-900 1-inch sensor in the wide camera, a mobile-specific sensor that enhances power efficiency and enables computational photography. The ultra-wide camera, equipped with a 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor, excels in macro and landscape photography.

The Find X7 Ultra is also the first smartphone to feature two periscope cameras, each boasting large sensors that significantly outperform their counterparts in other devices. These cameras offer unparalleled telephoto capabilities, enabling users to capture stunningly detailed images from both near and far.

The HyperTone Camera System, a cornerstone of the Find X7 Ultra, addresses the common pitfalls of computational photography, such as over-processed HDR effects and excessive edge detail. This system ensures that photos retain their natural integrity, with balanced highlights, shadows, and mid-tones.

Additional breakthroughs in photography include an uninterrupted zoom range from 14mm to 270mm, Hasselblad Portrait Mode for capturing individual details with precision, and Hasselblad Master Mode, which offers professional-grade controls and calibration matching the Hasselblad X2D 100C.

Apart from being a camera marvel, the Find X7 Ultra’s sophisticated design and brilliant screen are equally impressive. The device features a two-tone design in three elegant colors and boasts the brightest QHD+ screen currently available, enhanced with 1-120Hz LTPO technology for smooth and vibrant visuals.

Performance-wise, the Find X7 Ultra is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform, supported by up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage, ensuring seamless gaming and 4K video editing experiences. It also prioritizes privacy with a dedicated security chip and a unique VIP slider for enhanced control over notifications and privacy settings.

The device’s large 5000mAh battery, coupled with 100W SUPERVOOC charging, provides extended usage and rapid charging capabilities. Additionally, the 50W wireless charging feature can fully charge the phone in just 60 minutes.

The base 12GB RAM + 256GB variant of Oppo Find X7 Ultra is priced at CNY 5,999 (approximately Rs 70,000). The 16GB RAM + 256GB and top-end 16GB RAM + 512GB variants are priced CNY 6,499 (approximately Rs 75,000) and CNY 6,999 (approximately Rs 80,000), respectively.
