Christopher Nolan’s biographical thriller Oppenheimer bagged seven awards, out of the total of 13 nominations, including Best Picture. Apart from this, Nolan swept the Oscar for Best Director, while Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr won Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor, respectively. Emma Stone won the Best Actress for Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things, a movie based on the 1992 novel by Alasdair Gray.
