Xiaomi has officially unveiled its latest tablet, the Xiaomi Pad 6, in India, as the Chinese tech giant seeks to regain its popularity in the tablet market. The Xiaomi Pad 6, succeeding the Xiaomi Pad 5 released a year ago, introduces a new design and upgraded specifications, providing customers with enhanced features and first-party accessories.

The tablet boasts an aluminum body, a departure from the plastic back of its predecessor, and its rear camera layout resembles that of the Xiaomi 13 series. Its standout feature is an 11-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels (2.8K) and a pixel density of 309 PPI. The 10-bit panel supports a 144Hz refresh rate, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and achieves a peak brightness level of 550 nits. The display is capable of playing HDR10 and Dolby Vision content, ensuring a vivid and immersive visual experience.

To complement the tablet, Xiaomi offers the optional Xiaomi Smart Pen 2nd Generation. This stylus provides 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity and an impressive battery life of up to 150 hours. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and users can enhance their experience by pairing the tablet with the official case, which features a kickstand for comfortable content consumption.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 features a quad-speaker setup, with two speakers located on the top and bottom of the device, delivering a surround sound experience with Dolby Atmos support. This ensures high-quality audio for multimedia consumption.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi Pad 6 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, accompanied by LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It runs on MIUI 14 for Pad, based on the latest Android 13 operating system, providing a smooth and efficient user experience.

The tablet sports a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. The front camera includes a feature called FocusFrame, similar to Apple’s Center Stage, which is enhanced by a 4-microphone array, ensuring clear and immersive video calls.

Connectivity options on the Xiaomi Pad 6 include WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and USB 3.2 Gen 1 (Type-C). It does not support cellular connectivity. Additionally, Xiaomi offers an optional keyboard accessory with 64 keys and 1.3mm key travel for increased productivity.

Despite its slim profile, measuring only 6.51mm in thickness and weighing 490g, the Xiaomi Pad 6 houses a powerful 8,840mAh battery. It supports fast charging at a maximum rate of 33W and is compatible with multiple charging standards, including Qualcomm Quick Charge, USB PD (Power Delivery), and Xiaomi Fast Charging.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 is available in two color options: Graphite Grey and Mist Blue. It comes in two RAM and storage configurations, with the 6GB + 128GB variant priced at Rs 26,999 and the 8GB + 256GB variant priced at Rs 28,999. Xiaomi has also introduced official accessories for the tablet, including the Xiaomi Smart Pen 2nd Generation priced at Rs 5,999, the Xiaomi Pad 6 Keyboard priced at Rs 4,999, and the Xiaomi Pad 6 Case priced at Rs 1,499.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 and its accessories will be available for purchase starting June 21 via Mi.com, Xiaomi Retail, and Amazon India. Customers using ICICI Bank credit cards and credit/debit card EMI can avail of a Rs 3,000 instant discount.

Commenting on the launch, a Xiaomi spokesperson stated, “We are thrilled to introduce the Xiaomi Pad 6 in India, offering our customers a feature-rich tablet with a stunning display, powerful performance, and convenient accessories.
